Ph. Gianluca PisciaroliHaving had the privilege of visiting Italy in the summertime, it’s been quite some time that I’ve wanted to visit Cerqueto in the winter. A combination of the Gran Sasso landscape and the holiday spirit, I’ve always thought it would be a sort of magical place. A quaint little town tucked behind the mountain and beneath the snow – there’s really nothing better especially for a Canadian. Admittedly, my expectations were quite high, but I was excited to finally get the chance to experience Cerqueto in the winter, in all its Christmastime splendor. (altro…)

Festa di San Gabriele a MontrealCousins born and raised in Montreal, our childhood growing up was quite different from that of regular Quebecois. Daughters of Nino and Pietro Ruscio and grand-daughters of Giuseppe Ruscio and Domenica Zaccagnini, it’s safe to say, a steady flow of Baldaunë blood runs through us. And despite geographical distance, Cerqueto always seemed close to the heart – even for us kids. Simply told, there’s just something about this town. (altro…)
